REPUBLICAN WOMEN OF CALVERT COUNTY (RWCC): Formed in 1958, the RWCC is an active member of the Maryland and National Federation of Republican Women. A key goal of the RWCC is to inform, educate and register voters. The RWCC regularly meets in the afternoon on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from September through June. REPUBLICAN WOMEN LEADERS OF CALVERT (RWLC): Formed in 2003 to provide greater opportunities for women with daytime jobs to influence the political process, the RWLC meets September through May at 6:30 p.m. on the 1st Monday of the month, with summer socials and an early fall wine tasting event. REPUBLICAN WOMEN OF SOUTHERN CALVERT (RWSC): Formed in 2006 to provide greater opportunities for women living in the southern portion of the County to become involved in the political process, the RWSC is currently meeting at the Holiday Inn in Solomons in the evening. CALVERT COUNTY REPUBLICAN CLUB (CCRC): The Republican Club is an organization for men and women that meets periodically for social events, including dinner meetings and reception with candidates. TEEN AGE REPUBLICANS/YOUNG REPUBLICANS (TARs/YRs): Our youngest Central Committee member, 19 year old college sophomore Matt Swanson, is leading efforts to form a Calvert County Young Republican Club and to form Teen Age Republican Clubs in Calvert County high schools. I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.

I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

FINALLY, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
